Our Development Workflow


1. Research & Estimation

This is probably the most important step in the process. We listen to your needs and get a better understanding of what it is you want to build, what features matter the most to you, and what user experience you want to deliver.

Gather requirements. You will talk with our talented group of custom solutions experts so you can give us as much detail as possible to describe your product, feature and functionality.

Estimate scope and delivery. Our team will work through a delivery plan with estimates around time and cost to get your project across the finish line.

2. Developing a Plan

Once we figure out the what and the why, we need to figure out how we are going to to build your feature/functionality. During this phase, we are going to build a list of development tasks, prioritize those tasks and place those tasks into a timeline.

Work-shopping tasks. We will work through tasks to build an execution plan. This will help us vet all the ideas going into the project and prioritize features based on customer feedback.

3. Designing a Look

This is where the fun begins. After understanding the technical requirements for your project, its time to get into the fine details of what your project will look like and how your users will interact with it.

User Experience(UX). We will work with you to figure out the theme of the overall user experience. We work to accomplish the goal of the project with as few clicks as possible for your users.

User Interface(UI). In this step, we will be creating wireframes of the views within your project. This will allow us to tie in UX and visuals before the coding/developing even begins.

Design Testing. We want to make sure our choices not only pass the internal decision making process but also pass a certain threshold from external design testing.

4. Building/Coding

During this phase, our developers will starting building your project based off the previous requirements gathering steps. We will follow the design guides and user experience guides.

Platform Extension. Our engineers will start building your product functionality on top of our powerful EdTech platform. This extension(s) would only be accessible to your and none of our other clients.

Front End. We take some of the interface/interaction decisions made in previous steps to build out a beautiful front-end for your project. We also collect usage data to fine tune the overall user experience.

Back End. If you need your project connected to an external back-end or data store, our engineers will build a bridge to those integrated services. We will define data models to pass back and forth between services.

5. QA Testing

When it comes time to deliver your project to our production environment, we want to make sure all the issues are resolved before it gets in front of your users. A good first impression for your users is important.

Automated Testing. During our build and delivery process, we will run our scripts through a number of automated check points to make sure the obvious issues are caught.

User Acceptance Testing. This process involves our testers manually clicking through an interface to make sure user interactions match what we are expecting from interactions defined in previous steps.

Continuous Monitoring. As your project makes its way to production, we will have monitors in place to make sure users are able to access your features at all times. Our team is on call 24/7 for access error monitoring.

6. Launching Your Project
